October 2000 - An announcement from Mathew Weidenfeller was made at the recent Board meeting of the Fragile X Association of Southern California that on November 4, 2000, "a Casino Night fundraising event will be sponsored by Coldwell Banker Brentwood East, CA for the real estate industry and other interested parties. The Fragile X Association of Southern California has been designated as one of four organizations to be the beneficiary of the proceeds from this event. The "Black Tie Optional" Casino Night will feature "Gambling, Dancing, Drinks, Music and Food". The cost to attend will be $50.00 per person and there will be a "Grand Raffle at the end of the evening". The location will be at a newly built private estate located in Pacific Palisades.
